There, she had the title of senior vice president, and responsibilities as Director of Professional Development & Operations, and Director of Engagement.
As the primary architect of TTR Sotheby’s touted professional development program, Ruth is passionate about nurturing others, and shares both knowledge and strategies for success with agents. Whether advising a client, negotiating a residential transaction, or attending to corporate relations, Ruth is consistently lauded as “patient,” “knowledgeable,” “attentive,” and “invested,” among many other impressive descriptors. She is valued by clients and colleagues alike for her unsurpassed in-depth knowledge of the local housing market, real estate contracts, and today’s innovative marketing strategies. It is a reputation for consistently exceeding her clients’ expectations.
Ruth graduated from Georgetown with an undergraduate degree and a master’s degree in Public Policy. She subsequently held the position of Registrar of the Georgetown University Law Center. Although courted by Harvard and Stanford Law Schools, she transitioned to the corporate world and began volunteering in the non-profit sector with Lift-Me-Up, a therapeutic riding program for children with disabilities. Currently, she sits on the Board of Bridle Paths, which serves persons with physical, psychological and emotional challenges through meaningful partnership with horses.
With their daughter attending Virginia Tech, she and her husband can now answer the question, ‘What’s a Hokie?’ When not working, they enjoy entertaining in their Clarendon area home and traveling to see friends and family in the states and abroad. Ruth makes meaningful connections with those she meets, and establishes relationships with her Elliman and Knight Frank colleagues - where their travels take them.
